DIRECT CONNECTION METHOD
RESISTOR CONNECTION METHOD
SAFETY : PLEASE SWITCH OFF MAINS TO THE AC BEFORE CONNECTING.
HOW TO CONNECT THE DIRECT CONNECTION METHOD:
Airtron Has two pairs of wires-The. Red and Green Pair and the Black pair.
- The red and green pair is used to power the Airtron on, and may be connected to the secondary terminal, inside the air conditioner or even from the PCB directly.
- The black pair is connected To the. Phase wire From the PCB To the relay Of the Compressor motor. Cut the phase wire From the PCB of the air conditioner leading to the compressor motor relay ( which is attached to the PCB of the AC),and the two black wires in your hand are connected to the two sides of the cut Phase wire.
- THE Phase Wire will light up with an electrical Tester for easy identification.
BOTH pairs Of wires from the Airtron are Potential-free.
IMPORTANT : PROCEED WITH THE THE WIRE CHECK TEST TO CONFIRM YOUR WIRING IS CORRECT AND then set your desired room temperature and enjoy the savings! (see the manual for the methodology).
IN NON INVERTERS PLEASE BE SURE TO REDUCE SET POINT ON YOUR AC TO IT’S LOWEST, AND SET YOUR DESIRED SET POINT ON THE AIRTRON.
B. FOR VRV/VRF, SOME INVERTERS :
IF THE AC EXHIBITS AN ERROR CODE PL USE THE RESISTOR CONNECTION METHOD AS BELOW
HOW TO CONNECT THE RESISTOR CONNECTION METHOD. The Airtron Has two pairs of wires-The Red and Green Pair and the Black pair.
The red and green pair Is used to power the Airtron on, and may be connected to the secondary terminal, inside the air conditioner or even from the PCB directly. Both pairs are potential-free.
- Measure the Resistance of the Room Temp. Sensor of the AC at 25C and 30C. The Resistance will be lower at 30C, thus confirming this is an NTC sensor.
- Select a Resistor of the value of 40-45% of the Resistance AT 25C. ( e.g. For a 10K Resistor use a resistance of the value of 3.9-4.7K)
- Take a 2-Way,2A terminal and connect the resistance to one end of the Terminal in parallel and connect the Black pair of the Airtron to this end of the Terminal (Pl see Video)
- Then cut any one wire of the room temp sensor and connect both ends to the other end of the Terminal.
- Insert the sensor back into the PCB.
- IMPORTANT : PROCEED WITH THE WIRE CHECK TEST TO CONFIRM YOUR WIRING IS CORRECT AND then set your desired room temperature and enjoy the savings.
IN INVERTERS PLEASE PUT THE SAME SET POINT ON THE INVERTER AND THE AIRTRON.
